FLY FISHING COLORADO HIGH ALPINE LAKES | What's in our Pack? pt. 1

We're incredibly lucky to have access to some stunning high alpine lakes near Buena Vista, CO. These remote lakes hold native cutthroat trout and other salmonid species. They are often tucked back in the mountains, high above the tree line. Because of this, the season to target fish in these lakes is very short, and there's much more to consider before making the trek into one. In this video, Michael Atwood and Carter Abramson cover what goes into planning and packing for a day of alpine fishing. The backcountry doesn't mess around with nasty weather and remote access; therefore, this is all very important to consider in order to stay safe, comfortable, and successful in catching fish. Stay tuned for a more in-depth video coming soon on how to fish these lakes! Curious about our guided trips to some of these lakes?
