Pine creek starts way up in the collegiate peaks and flows down into the Arkansas River north of Buena Vista. Lower down, brown and rainbow trout are the common catch. As you work your way up in elevation expect to start catching stunning brookies and cutties. Hike in as far as you’re willing to find solidarity and willing fish.

Current Conditions

With the majority of runoff now lower down in the system, flows are settling, and the water is clearing up. Fishing in these small tributaries right now should be very good.
